At IBK Changgong Demo Day, CEO Youngtae Kim Announces 10 Billion KRW Revenue Target and Global Expansion Plan

CEO Youngtae Kim attending the IBK Changgong Demo Day held on May 30.
Nanoelectronics, a developer of high-conductivity, energy-saving 3D nano heating films, has successfully oversubscribed its Series A round, driven by rapid revenue growth and strong investor interest. The company plans to expand its production facilities with the newly raised capital to further accelerate growth.
During the 2024 First-Half IBK Changgong Demo Day held on May 30 at IBK Finance Tower in Euljiro, Seoul, CEO Youngtae Kim presented the company’s latest achievements in an IR session. He revealed:
“We opened a 3 billion KRW Series A round, and it has already been oversubscribed by more than twice that amount.”
Kim explained that the investment will be used to build a new manufacturing facility and hire additional staff. He added:
“Our new plant was completed last year, and we have already recorded 2.5 billion KRW in revenue this year. We expect to reach 10 billion KRW in revenue by the end of the year.”
Nanoelectronics’ revenue growth is remarkable, considering the company recorded just around 100 million KRW in revenue the previous year.
The impressive results drew strong interest from venture capital firms present at the event. One VC representative shared:
“Among all the startups presenting today, Nanoelectronics was the most impressive. I approached them hoping to invest, but the round was already oversubscribed.”
Founded in 2019, Nanoelectronics develops nano heating materials that solve industrial and household challenges. The company created the world’s first large-area, low-power nano heating film and provides industrial and residential pipeline heaters, as well as road heating systems.
The company’s technology is gaining international recognition. Nanoelectronics won a CES 2024 Innovation Award in the energy materials category and was selected as a Top 20 Finalist at JEC World 2024 in Paris, receiving inquiries and partnership requests from global corporations.
CEO Kim noted that invitations for exhibitions and collaboration meetings are coming from the U.S., Japan, and China. He added:
“We also expect significant revenue next year from entering overseas markets, especially with potential applications in the aerospace sector.”
Kim, who has over 15 years of nano-materials research experience, developed the nano heating film during his time at KAIST’s National Nano Fab Center. The company’s flagship product, the Copper Nano Heating Film, offers up to 90% higher energy efficiency than traditional heating wires and can be applied in:
- Road and pavement heating
- Electric vehicle heating modules
- Heating jackets and wearable systems
- General industrial and consumer heating applications
Nanoelectronics’ proprietary technologies include:
- Copper nano fiber synthesis technology
- Nano fiber control and multilayer patterning
- Independent manufacturing equipment development
The company holds seven core patents and continues to expand its R&D capabilities.
