IBK Changgong Launches 2024 Japan Acceleration Program
Eight Innovative Startups Selected for Japan Market Entry Initiative
IBK Changgong hosted the orientation session for its 2024 first-half Japan Acceleration Program on the 16th.
IBK Industrial Bank of Korea (President Kim Sung-tae) announced on the 16th that its startup incubation platform, IBK Changgong (創工), has officially launched the 2024 Japan Acceleration Program.
For this program, eight innovative and venture startups from the IBK Changgong portfolio were selected after evaluations by Japanese governmental organizations, financial institutions, and domestic and overseas accelerators and VCs:
- Nanoelectronics
- Dabida
- Mass Adoption
- StyleBot
- Ade
- Tyroscope
- Featuring
- Hyunsung
Over the past month, these companies have participated in domestic pre-acceleration activities, including global capability training and 1:1 mentoring with experts, preparing for entry into the Japanese market.
Starting on the 23rd, they will take part in a four-day on-site program in Japan, which includes:
- Exhibition visits
- Demo day pitching
- Meetings with related organizations
- Networking sessions with local partners and investors
On the 16th, IBK Changgong hosted the Japan Acceleration Program Orientation at its Guro Center, attended by around 20 participants, including selected startups and representatives from Japanese partner institutions. The session served as an opportunity to reinforce commitment toward successful market expansion in Japan.
An IBK Changgong representative stated:
“We have designed this program not as a one-time event, but as an effective and practical support system that allows our top startups to achieve tangible results in Japan. Moving forward, we will continue to actively support innovative companies with strong products and services so they can seize new business opportunities in the Japanese market.”
